It was the GOP, led by Newt the Grinch, that ALLOWED salmonella-contaminated eggs and poultry to be sold. SMAPIP was another Newt invention. Under their
benevolent patronage to their corporate masters, they changed the law to ALLOW up to 20% of eggs and chicken meat and 50% of turkeys sold to be contaminated
with salmonella. The Pure Food & Drug Act of 1906 made ZERO contamination the rule of law. The inory is is that the law was pushed through Congress by
